The Parish Council meets in the Undercroft on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. All parishioners are welcome to attend our meetings. The Cathedral Parish Council is comprised of members of the Cathedral who represent the parishioners; representatives of the various Cathedral organizations; Deacon Tom Johnston and Deacon Jim Gorski; and the Rector, Father Mike Gribble. The Parish Council members are listed in a table at the end of this overview.. The Council meets on the first Tuesday of the month. The agendas of meetings include reports from the following: Standing Committees, Deacon Tom and Deacon Jim, and representatives of parish organizations. Also, Father Gribble gives a report at each meeting concerning parish projects. The Council, as representatives of parishioners, has many goals. The most important goal is fulfilling the spiritual needs of the congregation. The Cathedral is made up of parishioners from all over the Columbus area. Because of this, one of the goals of the Council is to help parishioners become better acquainted and develop a sense of community. The Council hosts two social events each year: a parish picnic and a spaghetti dinner. Also a social hour following the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass is the responsibility of the Hospitality Committee. This committee also plans receptions for Cathedral events. Deadlines for Parish Publications Flyers (Bulletin Inserts) – Same as that for bulletin information. Parish Calendar – Information must be received by the 15th of the preceding month. For example, to include an event for June, it must be submitted by May 15th.
