Saint Joseph Cathedral's Web Site Design Overview
Guiding Principles:

The web site is a source of
information that has some items that change on a frequent basis. This
dynamic content includes items such as displaying minister schedules, calendars, etc.

Keep things simple. Quick loading pages is a must,
especially the home page.

Make the web site more lively and not dull. Make it
fun for visitors and parishioners to visit.

Make the web site easy to navigate.

Make the web site free of clutter, especially the home page.

The web site should be simple enough so that someone with an
advanced beginner to intermediate web site's knowledge can make changes.

The web site will not use frames or CSS. This helps
keep things simple.

The following web site team was formed in January 2002:

Steering Committee - oversee the web site design; not involved
with programming. Current members: Father Mike Gribble, Deacon Jim Gorski

Implementation Team - program the web site according to the
direction and vision of the Steering Committee. Current members: Michael
Chow (webmaster), Larry Erickson, Sharon Curtin.
The revamped Cathedral website was published online on May 16,
2002. There was an issue with a configuration on the host web server (Iwaynet.net).

Iwaynet.net: web host provider - annual billing cycle expires on
6/29/02. Address: IwayNet Communications, Inc., 781 Northwest Blvd., Suite
200, Columbus, OH 43212. Fees are FTP Web access account: $100.00
plus non-profit web hosting services: $50.00 = $150.00 total. Current
billing is sent to: St. Joseph Cathedral, Ted Krembs, 212 E. Broad St.,
Columbus, OH 43215. Iwaynet's phone number is 614-294-9292. On
9/10/2001 changed admin contact from Ted Krembs to Michael Chow. 20 MB
limit on web space, but no limit on traffic (# of bytes of transfer per month).

BuyDomains.com (1-877-547-4220) and expires on 9/14/2005. Primary server
for NS1.IWAYNET.NET (198.30.29.7) and the secondary domain server is:
